About Live The Dash

Live The Dash is a project headed by Paul Woolner featuring his original roots and blues influenced songwriting backed up by an evolving cast of Grey-Bruce County’s touring musicians, including guitarist Roger Williamson, Victoria Yeh on electric violin, Joel Dawson on bass and vocals and Michael Balfe on drums and vocals.

The band released a self-titled five song EP in March of 2020.

A single from the EP, “Let the Dreams Come” was released in April 2020 by Acoustic Rainbow of Kentucky on a sampler album and immediately had airplay in the USA, Italy, France, Austria, and Israel.
Paul is a lifelong singer songwriter who has performed across canada. He is dedicated
to the songwriting craft of storytelling and embracing many genres.

“A unique sonic arena, playing in and out of pop-rock, traditional Celtic, funk, reggae and everywhere in-between...one is immediately struck by the power of Paul’s grasp on so many divergent genres” ~ Exclaim! Magazine

“Loved the acoustic textures....Hooks you right in. Loved the uplifting lyrics and great storytelling and imagery.” ~ Bryan Klausing, Acoustic Rainbow.
The name "Live the Dash" comes from a popular poem which observes that between our arrival and our inevitable departure, often represented as a dash between dates, we can still celebrate and take advantage of the gift that life gives us, even in times of great confusion and uncertainty.
